Are there any advantages to using swords over axes, or vice versa? I am exploring dual wielding and will be able to get either sword specific or axe specific passive skills in the next 10 level-ups. If you know you're going to dualwield, stick to nodes that give dual wield damage or 1h damage rather than chosing between swords and axes. Atleast until endgame. Vs low armor, sword does more dmg, vs high armor targets, mace does more dmg, cuz it has more armor amount to penetrate. Supernico - VR14.

Even a gold axe has higher DPS than a gold sword! Axe: +High burst damage means it's good for chasing or first strikes.
